Churches Together Groups
Right across Cheshire there are groups of Christians working together. In many areas they have come together from their respective local churches, of many traditions and drawing from both the main denominations and newer independant churches to form Churches Together in their areas. You will find them in the following localities in Cheshire:
Alderley, Alsager, Bridgwater, Chester, Chester City Centre, Congleton, Crewe, Crowton Kingsley & Norley, Ellesmere Port, Frodsham, Haslington , Kelsall & Tarvin, Macclesfield, Middlewich, Nantwich, Northwich, Poynton, Runcorn, Sandbach, Weaverham Acton Bridge & Bartington, Wilmslow, Winsford.
They engage in a wide range of activities, including joint services and study groups, walks of witness and other similar events. They are often moved to offer wider forms of service to the community, working together and in partnerships with groups in their local communities. In recent years they have played an important part in the establishment of local Food Banks, Street Pastor schemes, and debt advice centres.
Some groups have details of their activities on their own web sites - see our links page.
If you would like to contact any of them direct,
please email ceo.ctic@gmail.com for contact details.
Other Christians also network together, across the areas, especially as they seek to engage with other organisations and interest groups as well as with local government. Such groups include: Linkup, Salt of the Earth. You can access more information to these and others through our Links page
